  • there is a line, and diplomacy also matters. i think it is possible to be sensitive and honest at the same time.
  • You want blunt - are blunt and sensitive places, because they certainly aren't verbs. The line comes before an answer expressed as rudely as this one.
  • Great question. The truth is the truth. Obviously some people will be hurt by certain answers - and that should be avoided if possible, but to me, if a good question is asked- i would want a truthful response thats rude, more than a sugar coated one thats not accurate. That's the problem with the P.C. police- they are supressing ( spelling?) the truth!!!
  • If it's about religion, I don't want to change anybody's mind about their beliefs, even if I don't know how they could believe what they believe, or why they'd really want to. If their beliefs help them, great. (Although I've argued back strongly against the idea of God torturing people for eternity.) If it's not about religion, I try to be polite (not succeeding every time) and rational. (BTW, I don't think the question is at all rude; I dunno what set Brian I off...)
