What programming languages should I know if I want to be a professional game programmer?

    The main language used to be C for all the hardcore stuff. I know some games are now done in C++, and if you step down from the biggest ones I'm sure every language imaginable is used at some point or another. If you develop for the ever popular web-based games, I'm sure Flash is useful. I personally will most likely do any game programming in C++ (That's what I learned in for my class).

    I'd be interested to know what anyone in the industry has used. You'd really have to ask someone who works in the genre of game industry you're looking at (3d first person shooters? web-based games? Console games?)
