  • Yes, there will someday be a single monetary unit for the entire world, just as there will be a single economy for the entire world. The question is not if, but when.
  • No, only because I can't imagine states like the US, Japan & China renouncing their current currency.
  • No I believe It would create even more poverty in third world countries some people must survive on just a small percentage of a Euro each month.
  • My first thought was yes, but now that I've reasoned it through, I don't see how a world currency would ever work. I mean, who would oversee the printing and minting--and where? (The world has yet to create a consensus or trouble free union of any kind.) How would you distribute currency when current currencies are not equally strong? I loved the Euro while in Germany because it was easy to understand and equally usable by the blind since all bills and coins are different sizes. I'm eagerly awaiting all the changes that are taking US money in that direction.
  • Never, all countries wouldn't agree to it for starters.
  • No. That is simply not possible. There is more to creating a single monetary unit than prevalence and acceptance of currency. In fact, these things have nothing to do with it.
  • Probably in the long run that will happen, when the frontiers among countries tend to dissapear and we have some kind of world government.
  • Yes, but you would have to join............*Evil and scary music on* THE NEW WORLD ORDER! Which will take over the world and will be Satanic and full of demons! Then......we will never have to worry about money ever again, because Jesus would be ruling Earth forever!!!! => =) =D
