Nope, there is no law requiring this.
There have been years where not even the minimum wage rate has been increased.
In this economy, where job seekers outnumber positions 3-1, perhaps you might rethink about pushing for a raise right now. Make sure you have plenty of evidence of how you have exceeded expectations if you do decided to make this request.
The unfortunate truth is no... But I plan to DEMAND a raise soon. When I started here my boss (who I've known for years now from previous employment) asked me to take a $10K pay cut from the salary I made at my previous job. He promised he would give me a raise ASAP but I haven't seen a single cent more. If he refuses I will cut back my efforts and do a half-assed job.
I am looking to pursue a teaching career and intend to leave as soon as I am able to anyway.
Can a full time employee be forced to take a day off and the shift be givin to a per diem employee? is this legal

Is is legal to give 1 religious group more paid days off than others? I get 8 less paid holidays. I must use vaca time for holidays. Legal?
