YES! For me it does. They are often synthetic, and are too close to the skin so don't allow your skin to breath. Any tight clothing, thongs or tight jeans or thick tights/pantyhose etc, can trigger a yeast infection for me. When I stopped wearing thongs and started wearing proper cotton panties I found I got far fewer yeast infections. Just wearing thongs for a few days can be enough to trigger one for me.
