Sorry sent too soon! Basically I have been asked to provide details of 2 people to use as referees. Thing is I sort of keep myself to myself and haven't a clue what to do as I cannot use family or a previous employer, please help.

Previous employer or family are typically frowned upon but a coworker from a previous job is usually a good reference. Likewise any long term acquaintance.

Anyone you worked with whom you hadn't pissed off, but just bear in mind, anything can be found over the Internet. Your best bet is to go to a temp agency and submit the references there. They get paid to find you jobs and would probably be willing to overlook less than savory references.
