  • I wash mine more in summer, because it gets too cold here, and when I wash it in the winter the doors and windows freeze shut..
  • id say summer, but that's from my experiances, i guess it all depends on where you live
  • I wash our cars often, almost weekly, in the summer as I am obsessed with appearance and like to convey a 'I'm proud of my car' image to everyone else. However, in the winter, the salt is the enemy for the paint. I heavily wax my car before winter comes and allow it to sit longer in between washes. I often use a pay n' spray car wash since my hose freezes, and just driving it back home gets it dirty again. Therefore I don't sweat a dirty car in the winter. To answer your question, I'd say more people wash in the summer.
  • I'd have to say summer here too. The salt is bad for the paint ect. but it's more convient when the doors and windows aren't frozen shut! :)
  • Around here, neither; washing cars is for wimps!
  • Summer definately it never looks decent for more than five minutes in winter
  • Well I wash mine in summer and winter. I never knew we had to choose one or the other - lol. However, it gets a lot more dirty in winter, so it has to be washed more often. It still doesnt get washed much though - Im just lazy
  • Definetly summer because to a lot of people it's fun and a lot of people do it as a family thing or fundraisers stuff like that and it also gets dirtier in summer.
  • I'll be different and say winter because in the winter its rainy and muddy and my car goes through puddles and needs to be cleaned more often because of that.
  • I don't know about other people, but I wash mine more in the winter because of the salt that's used on the roads when it snows.
  • ussually more in summer, not only because its cold, but because im so busy in the winter school work, and summer is a vacattion.
  • In the summer, because of the dry weather. You will find those, that wash them because they have to (the car is extremely dirty), and those who wash them on a regular basis, but for the most part, if it is raining, you get less cars going through the car wash. My daughter works at one.
  • I'd say Summer cause I can wash mine during winter and drive down my driveway and its dirty again, although in the summer I drive it down my driveway and it gets dusty!
  • A UK survey recently found that most people only wash their car when they first get it and then again when they are selling it to get another one. I can confirm this to be truth and having just got a new one to replace the broken one, I cleaned it using the original stuff that I'd bought 6 years ago.
  • Summer. It just seems to get more dirty then with pollen, dirt, sand, etc. Most of these are caused by the fact that I am more active in the summer
  • Here "Canada", if you don't take your car frequently to the carwash in winter, every metalic exposed part will rust from all the de-icing salt they put on roads.
  • summer. the water wont freeze before u can use it.
  • summer
  • I THINK WINTER IS ALSO A GOOD TIME TO WASH YOUR CAR. ALL THE SALT AND SAND THAT GETS STUCK TO YOUR RIMS AND PAINT WILL RUIN IT IF IT STAYS ON THE CAR FOR A LONG PEROIOD OF TIME.
  • I own a car wash, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that in cold climates, people wash their cars a lot more in the winter!!! For instance, my volume is about 4x more in the winter. That's when it really cranks!
