Tetris.... and I have no idea why I could spend hours listening to the mindless music and putting little blocks in the spaces. No idea. Not a clue. I'm pretty sure there's some subliminal message. :)
-

The original Deus Ex. To this day it's the most open ended game I've ever played. The voice acting is great. The story isn't crap and it has bums. Runners up: Metal Gear Solid Earthbound Super Smash Brothers Melee MVC 2
-
At the moment I cannot see past Call of Duty 2. The graphics, sounds, and overall feel of the game are all superb. To relax, I sometimes play Railroad Tycoon 3. It's a very tricky and multidimensional game.
-
scarface the world is yours for PS2. it is ripe with so much profanity and violence, its my favorite game of all time. because of the M rating, i wouldnt recommend it to younger crowds. coming in second would be the combat action game socom combined assault-which uses real time military tactics
-
FF9 for the storyline or streets of rage for just sheer coolness
-
Right now I'm hooked on the old school Sonic the Hedgehog for PS2. I got tired of all the games that take forever and have missions that seem impossible sometimes. With Sonic, it's fun and it never makes me want to throw anything at the tv.

-
Final Fantasy 7. The characters are cool, the story is unique [for an FF-series], it has inspired many spin-offs [like Dirge of Cerberus, the movie Advent Children and Crisis Core] and they made a cool remake of the game!!!
-

Jim(my honey) bought a games software, mainly poker games. I love poker and (before I got addicted to Answerbag) would play Texas Holdum all the time. I haven't played in month. Other than poker, I am not a "games" addict. I'd rather spend time somewhere learning something new and not getting involved in hacking and slaying my way to success! :)

I have several. My favorites are UT2k4, the entire Command & Conquer series, and just about anything Trek... and I rather like GTA: San Andreas. Of course, if you're talking old school coin-op games, Qix rises above them all.
-
Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I could write whole paragraphs about why I like it but suffice to say that after nearly ten years of playing it I'm still not bored, and I STILL find new things to discover, mostly glitches and programming mistakes now. Despite its beauty and fun factor, the game can be extremely shallow. It's basically a Gothic ripoff of the Metroid series and the difficulty factor is completely unbalanced, making all your weapon and armour combos and magic spells next to useless, but it does have the most intuitive control, a classic musical score and some of the best 2-D artwork to ever grace a video game. Also I love how everything in there is a reference to something else or other, from The Lord of the Rings to Charles Lee ray in the Child's Play series. And besides, a game where vampires drink coffee and eat omelets, how awesome can it get? XD
-
Rampage is a great game, climbing buildings and wreaking havoc.
-
megaman X series up to X6, because X7 and X8 just ruined it, but megaman has an awsome upgrade system, and your always wondering what weapon your gonna get next!
