Does it annoy you when you are watching television and when a commercial comes on it gets so loud that it can almost make you jump out of your skin?(kinda scary too!)

Yes, and it just happened again this last commerical break. You know a few years a ago in TV Guide, there was a Q&A column about TV where someone asked about that very thing. Something ALL of us I'm sure have noticed at one time of another. The columnist blew it off and pretty much told the questioner it was just his imagination. It happens every night when we watch TV. Sometimes it's so loud it scares the cats. Gee, are we all experiencing mass hallucination? I don't think so. Why won't anyone in the TV industry admit this is true?

Yes it does. Our local FOX channel does it all the time. You have to have the tv turned up to hear the tv show that is on, and when the commercial comes on....WOW!! grab the remote and turn it down.

Is there or should there now be a new category for all of the 'does it annoy when' questions and the answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, none of these things except for the stupid questions that are being asked annoys me

Yes! I think thats why on my new Tv remote there is a button called Half Mute.. press it when the commersials come on and it brings the tv back to the same volume as when you were watching your program. <wink> Sometimes late at night I scramble for this button and greatly appreciate it!

Yes. I hate that. It is illegal for Channels to do it here in Australia but it still happens.

this is why i don't watch live television... i tivo what i want and then fast forward through the annoying and loud commercials.
