Americans can't get together on anything, That's why the media promotes celebrating diversity rather than homogeny,to keep us in small seperate groups rather than one unified body of people. As long as they keep us a diverse culture there will be friction and and no unity. No unity means no "getting together" on one issue which is what they prefer. It's easier to control small seperate groups than it is to control one large unified body of people.
