You don't stop worrying about your children when they come of age. They need the most attention when they're youngest, and will need help thinking rationally when they're teenagers, but to be human is to stay a parent permanently.

i'm 23 and my parents still worry about everything i do when i go out... my mom always says "once a parent, always a parent".

Either you or they have to be dead. My son is 22 and I will always be concerned about him, even though I know he is a healthy, strong, independent young man with a good deal of intelligence and common sense, its a parent thing.
