Mine is 113 years old and going strong. There are many, still inhabited, that are older. It depends on both original quality of construction and how well the structure has been maintained.

Well there are saxon examples of structures still standing and in use in the UK and that makes them at least 942 years old. :-)

Its true that many old houses survive today, however, for each one that remains many will have been demolished. If you are looking for an 'average' this must also be considered. Maybe a good reference point would be "What is the average age of the housing stock in the UK?" This might give you a rough idea of how long houses last for.
