Why do men feel that they have the right to stare at women. Without even making in un-noticeable?

We do have the right. There is no law saying we cannot look at people in public.

Um.. why do women? Sorry but I have a friend who is downright vulgar in her open aggressive staring when she sets her sights on something. Too bold. Both sexes do it. It truly is about individuality more than anything else.

um, i wasn't aware men aren't supposed ogle the females... i mean, some people have rules when it comes to being polite, but there's no law against it. i stare at men all the time!

They have the right to look at whatever they want. Some have the decency to be subtle about it, some don't.

Shouldn't that be taken as a complement?? I mean to a certain degree it can be creepy, but for the most part if they look does that not mean they think your attractive, and whats wrong with that?

Because they're there, sort of like Mt. Everest, or a pair of them.

I guess because it is pretty normal. Just like when Jimmy and I drove by a construction site. I couldn't help to have at least a peek, sometimes it was a stare with a big smile.

I'm an attractive female, former model, and I have spent my life getting annoyed, feeling intruded upon, by staring men. Feeling sorry for myself that I get so much unwanted attention, having to dress DOWN in order to be left alone. But you know, I'm starting to think that I shouldn't care so much.

They don't, in my opinion as a man. To look, but not to stare. Except in strip clubs etc. Society permits it in some places, but not in others. However, even where society permits it, I do not take up that permission.

I have the same problem at my work. In fact I was really interested in one of them. But days and months past by but he did'nt say anything but just the strong stares in the cafeteria, in the hallway etc. Now I don't work there any more but its still a intriguing question as to why did I go through all that staring. But nothing happened. Why do they do this to a woman. Not have the courage to come up and say something.

Lust, and sometimes men just really like/love the female. So it can just be that he is admiering your beauty. That's what my man does.

They don't - speaking as a man I can say that. Women tend to stare too ;-)

I often suspect it is a power thing. In some countries, where women are forced to be submissive, they are forbidden to look at a man and men are free to stare at a woman. Sometimes if you find someone staring at you and you just glare back at them they will actually get angry. I've provoked this reaction from some middle-eastern men. It's kind of funny actually. ;-)

Because they don't care. They actually believe that this is a compliment when in reality it's creepy. It shows a lack of respect for the woman. Men who just gawk and stare without even offering a friendly hello are weird.
