  • I'm fascinated by architecture. When I have a camera with me, I will record buildings or structures I find beautiful or interesting.
  • One of my favorite places for architecture is Old Quebec City in Quebec province, Canada. So much creativity and effort went into ornate design in the past. That can't be said about today's buildings. It's hard not to admire the craftsman's work. Absolutely beautiful.
  • Yes and yes. As for favorites, I like bridges.
  • Last couple of times i've been overseas, all that ive seen are these.

  • Always any place we go, even if its just to drive around and look at the older homes in towns to see the way they were built 75-50 yrs ago. Often when driving across country we have come though some small town and found beautiful old building and stop to look and take pictures I think the city of San Francisco has such a wide variety of architecture to see from bridges to building
  • We don't really travel that much. But there are some structures I find quite beautiful..the first that comes to mind is the Opera House in Australia..(Sydney, I think, but I'm not certain)that soars and lifts my spirit every single time I see it! Then there is a Frank Lloyd Wright home somewhere in the middle of America called Falling Water, I believe. Structurally there have been many many problems with it but visually, it is quite beautiful. Visited Hearst Castle many years ago..for its time it was uniquely magnificent...even today it is worth seeing. :)
  • Oh yes. I would have to list a few favourites-The Chrysler Building (NYC), Union Station (Washington, D.C.), I could go on, and on. Chicago has too many to even list, so I'll just say the entire city.
  • Yes, all the time. I loved reading Ayn Rands, The Fountainhead for her long descriptions of architecture painted in words. I have always loved old buildings since a small child. I particularly love churches, I do not attend ( I did as a child ) but I still go into them to photograph them and the way the light hits the pipe organs or stained glass windows. Shrines, temples and monuments as well. My fave photo I took is of a temple in Laos with a local fisherwoman paused out front in awe herself. But I will photograph anything, feet, fire, frogs, flowers...
