  • Not if it is not a huge amount of charcoal. Actually it is good for gas, digestion, and it helps with poisons and impurities in your system. Not real tasty. Also, if you east TOO much (unlikely from food) you can have black or dark colored stools for a day or so. Nothing to worry about.
  • I like my fish fingers to be a little burnt... so I hope not!
  • It is best to avoid eating charcoal and burnt bits. It is thought that eating charcoal may have connections with some cancers (but this is only a link & not a cause-effect relationship at this stage). If you like it - it won't kill you immediately or have bad side effects, but maybe there could be an issue if you ate charcoaled food a lot of the time. The odd burnt chop won't be that bad (at least not for anyone who I have seen eating charcoal burnt food!).
  • If you are talking about the black crispy stuff in the pan after you cook a steak I don't think it will hurt you at all. I eat it too. Those little black chips are delicious.
