D my friend! :) How do you want me to support it? He was involved in a game of chance, sitting at a table with friends and did not want to pause to eat, although he was hungry. He direced a servant to put some meat between two pieces of bread and bring it to him so he could take bites while continuing to gamble. Is that support enough? :)

I'm not going to enter into the squabble over whether the good Earl did or didn't innvent the sandwich. I'll just gamble on the story that card games provided the inspiration for the invention. Sounds like a pat hand to me.

Neither. Dude picked a fight with his old lady who went on a strike to punish him. Not having the benefit of McDonald's in those days, he had to get creative in order to feed himself. The rest is history!
