I have a canon powershot a740. i want to get a photo printer for it. I dont want to spend over 300 dollars on it. Are photo printers specific to the brand of camera? Does anybody have recommendations?

If your camera is pictbridge enabled.It will work on almost any printer.There is alot of good printers for less than 150 dollars.Shop around and look for consumer feedback on the different printers on the market.

You cannot find a printer specifically for the canon PSa740 or any other specific camera. You can find the printer in general which is a canon inkjet photo printer. If you look for less than 150 dollars, you will find it. The thing is that probably the cost of the ink will cost more than the printer itself. That's why you see so many HP printers throw outside.
