My mom doesn't like my new gf. We have been dating about a month and she still think I should've stayed with my ex. I'm 17, 18 on the 21st. Now she is trying to push other girls on me. What should I do?

Just because she pushes them on you doesn't mean you have to do anything about it! Your mother doesn't have to like your gf. She's your gf not hers.

tell her that your dating who you want and its not ilke your mother is also dating your gf

tell her you respect her opinion, but say you dont feel that its her choice.

Moms will do this... it's their way. Try not to be mean to her- deep down she just wants what is best for you. The problem is she thinks she can choose what is best for you better than you can choose for yourself. (what a mouthful that was.) Tell her you appreciate her concern but that you need to find the right person on your own and that it makes you uncomfortable when she tries to set you up.

although i never would have agreed with this while i was a teenager,i have come to realize many years later,that most mothers have a better sense of who is right for their sons,than their sons do.i would never argue with a teenager on this point because i remember what it was like to be a teenager but,five or ten years from now,or maybe much less,you may find yourself thinking,she was right after all.
