  • Pantheist.
  • Great question - the problem is, well...most people who learned Wicca learned it all wrong and don't even know it. See why here: http://wiccateacher.synthasite.com/
  • Wow- I love that comment: There is no "right" way to learn or practice Wicca. And that site is definitely not close to the kind of Wicca that I practice. In fact, it reads like you're proselytizing. Okay, what kind of Wicca do you practice? I am very openminded - I would love to hear more. are there sites that are 'close to what kind of Wicca you practice? Do we as Witches now - practice online? Did Wicca become like a 'huge' video game? Does 'proselytizing' have anything to do with 'marketing' or 'writting copy' to 'sell' a product to people who want to learn Wicca? If so, Guilty as charged - how shall I be charged and clear my debt? hung? drowned? pressed to death? tortured by rats? made to do reasearch on where the word "WIcca" came from and who first coined it? Help me out I am open minded. Thanks! Visit the site to learn What Wicca is and How to practice it: http://wiccateacher.synthasite.com/ And as always we welcome your questions.
  • A non believer. Shuuun! Open minded I suppose.
  • In responce to this, my answer is below: And lastly, I have a couple questions about the site (not accusations or attacks, I truly want to know). The site says, "Wicca must be learned from personal experience and a personal teacher." I feel that this quote makes the same mistake that my first comment to your previous answer makes. It makes it seem like you can either learn from a teacher, or you don't learn at all. Cannot the Lady and Lord be an adequate teacher for those practicing solitary or unable to find a teacher that will teach them in the tradition they feel comfortable with? hedge-rider - formerly windwalker Jan, 10 2009 at 11:36 AM The second question comes from this quote from the site: "# 2 Most Teachers have learned by written materials and are practicing Wicca incorrectly at best!" Who's to say that they're practicing incorrectly? I don't feel like anyone really has a monopoly on correct Wiccan practice. But that's just my belief. AR, if you see this, what do you think? Answer to : Wicca must be learned from personal experience and a personal teacher." I feel that this quote makes the same mistake that my first comment to your previous answer makes. It makes it seem like you can either learn from a teacher, or you don't learn at all. Cannot the Lady and Lord be an adequate teacher for those practicing solitary or unable to find a teacher that will teach them in the tradition they feel comfortable with? My answer is simple: Wicca is a set of structured beliefs - a system if you will. It can be learned from books with mistakes - in the author's words or how they are taken by the reader - we clearly see that in our conversation don't we - spelled words can't express clearly everything - like we talk about an athame - what does that look like? Or the Magick Circle - what does that look like? You can't see this in written text. Video is the way to go to learn a system - the system of Wicca. Cannot the Lady and Lord be an adequate teacher - My answer here is simple: we make up our own lord and lady - we give them power and power corupts. Take electric - we can use it to cook our diner or we can use it to cook the man - so is electric good or bad? So I think you are asking me if the Goddess an God can be 'the perfect' teacher and my answer is and would be- not for everyone- only 2% will have divine intervention and like 'crowley' - no human can handle this intervention without the vessal cracking. NEXT:The second question comes from this quote from the site: "# 2 Most Teachers have learned by written materials and are practicing Wicca incorrectly at best!" Who's to say that they're practicing incorrectly? I don't feel like anyone really has a monopoly on correct Wiccan practice. But that's just my belief. AR, if you see this, what do you think? Who is to say that Wicca is practiced incorectly- the person who coined the word 'Wicca' in 1968 - by the way. before that the word never was used - it is based on his and her methods and I agree on the monopoly and i am not saying that mine is the 'only way' just a great way for someone to get started on the path - this too is covered in the videos. As for AR - I am unaware of who that is. Hope that helps you out. http://wiccateacher.synthasite.com/
  • Theologian. Theology is the study of the nature and existence of divinity/deity/deities. The gender (if any) of the deity/deities in question has nothing to do with whether or not the term applies.
