  • Well, if you've eaten most of it, you're lucky because you can just quietly remove the bug and say that you can't eat anymore because you are full. But if you've just sat down...well, looks like you haveto just remove it and dig in!!!
  • Say really loudly "eeeeewwwwwwwww bug in food." If they are friends they will be okay, if they are not friends then they will probably charge extra for the protein.
  • Get rid of the bug as discreetly as possible and keep eating. It won't kill me.
  • After I induced vomiting, I would excuse myself and take the hostess into another room and alert her.
  • Well it really depends upon the bug. If it was one that could have just flown in or something, just pick it out. But, if it was something like a cockroach - no way I'm gonna eat that. I'd have to say something, especially if it looked like it was cooked!!!
  • Discreetly remove the bug. Look for other insects without seeming obvious and feign fullness/loss of appetite. Next time your friend wants to dine suggest a cafe.
  • I would tell my friend that there's a bug and, depending on where and what it was, I might just pick it out and keep eating.
  • It all depends on how close of friends you are. I would tell my best friends, we would laugh make sure that it is a one time event and keep eating. If they were new friends or acquaintances I would be discreet and put it in a napkin excuse myself and flush it away. Then check the food for more and decide whether or not I want to keep eating.
  • I would tell them, and add to the fact that the food is awesome, so I would want more, without the bug tee hee!
  • i once ate mandcotto and i found a palmetto bug in it. i threw up. ewww
