The old expression, "time heals all wounds" really has a lot of truth to it. There have been a couple times in my life when I had to get over a girl, and let me tell you, it was tough. The first time, my girlfriend broke up with me because she didn't think we had enough similar interests. But all I was thinking was: "this is the girl I'm going to marry someday!" So you can imagine how crushed I was when she broke up with me. I kept telling myself (and even her a few times) that we are only taking a "break" and when we do get back together we will be stronger. Then, about a month later, I saw her at a mutual friend's wedding and I couldn't handle it. I couldn't eat the food and the whole time I had a blank, depressed, expression on my face. Well, needless to say, we never got back together again but I couldn't be happier about it now. It did take me a few months to really, truly let her go, but after I did, it felt so refreshing. I came to realize that my girlfriend was right: our differences were too great and it would have led to a rocky marriage. I'm not telling you this to discourage you but to encourage you. You may feel like you will never get over her, but you will. In the meantime, find other things/hobbies/activities to do to take your mind off of her. She will creep into your head often, but as your emotions subside you will feel better in the end. Best of luck to you!
