Probably that everyone fits the stereo types that society puts them in. For example I have a ton of friends with Asian and African nationalities that skate board and people will assume that they are not into that, because some people are stupid. Some folks think I am a lot younger and ditzy than I am because I am blonde and I am smaller. They dont expect me to have an education or be able to hold my own in a conversation. Stereotypes SUCK!!!

That we can trust the media for accurate information on Iraq or pharmaceuticals or other situations involving big business.

That they can change other people's morals or values by laws and judgmental comments.

That minorities are the cause of all of society's problems. ie: Immigrant hispanics are the cause of our economic woes. (false) Gay people are the cause of the breakdown of families and threaten marriage. (false) etc.

That really bad things always happen to the other guy, never to you. Until it's too late. No planning for the future at all. John from down the road got lung cancer, can you believe it? <lights one up> The number of dangerous drivers on the roads these is terrible. <does 90 to get to the pub on time> Yeah, I'm on blood pressure tablets, and statins, so I can't have a heart attack. <has 8 pints and a kebab every Friday night> Glad I don't live there, there's always natural disasters there. <earthquake/flood/storm strikes the next week and rips the house apart> I don't want to put away all this money for my pension, I want to live for now, you never know what's going to happen. <has no savings or pernsion plan and survives on the bare state minimum, and has done for the last 20 years>

That politicians are public servants, and religions have cornered the market in morality.

That being religiously correct and otherwise correct is a matter of exact science. It is not. Even christianity has segregations - different denominations and orders. There is no being "correct" on any religion, just understanding the effects of what you believe on your life.

The entire US thinks that the goverment has control over the people. If we all stood together, we can overcome the government. Ever wonder why Bush is still president.
