Yep. It's fun too. We are pretty much at war with the "band nerds" lol. The choir teacher and the band teacher are always trying to outdo each other.

How childish is this: I would probably never sing in a choir because if I was going to get up in front of people and sing I would want to be the center of attention! I am not that cruel, though.... if I sang to everyone their ears would probably bleed.

I'm not in a choir any more, but from the time I was 9 to 13 years old I was in two different choirs at my school. *nod*

I do sing in a church choir, but I'm primarily a soloist. I am a gospelsinger, and have been since I was about 5 yrs. old. My whole family is in the music business; not making CDs, but weve been singing in churches forever. My dad plays anything on the piano. He plays gospel, classical, country, and definitely the Blues.

Yeah. Oddly enough, I'm never in the same section in any choirs. I've been Soprano I, Soprano II, Alto I, and Alto II so far.

No I don't but I do mix the sound for our church choir, as well as the whole service as far as that goes.

no but I used to back in High School. Most fun was at winter time during the Holidays when we had to do a show. Also selling door to door was a good experience too.

Yes, I do sing in a choir. Yes it's in a church, and I enjoy backing up other singers. I sang as a songleader for many years, but I've found, that a whole new world opens up when you back off just a bit, and make someone else sound as good as they possibly can. The singing isn't for praise or recognition. It is for those who have been moved by an honest cooperative effort by those who care about those around them...it's not for the benefit of those who do the singing, but those who are the listeners. If you can keep that firmly in mind, you will add positively to many others' lives.

I used to be not any longer. It ceased to exist after a while. My voice is actually better suited to singing by myself though. I like to be the center of attention anyway. haha.

Yes, I do sing in a choir--Choir is my first class of the day at school. Not mandatory, being in high school and all, of course. I have a lot of fun with it. I just love to sing. I'm a soprano, usually a first if there are high notes--A flat and up--involved. There are leaders in the different sections, and there are followers. Followers are the majority. Leaders are the one everybody follows. Pretty simple. I'm a "leader." ^_^; 'Nuff said there. I do like harmony, though... I always wish I were on the alto part when we get a song that has low notes on harmony. It's not because I can't sing low that I'm a soprano; it's because I CAN sing high. So unfair. :( Haha. I actually can sing very low, too. But, hey--what section you're on in choir makes no absolute standard outside of it; Soprano II doesn't mean you're not good enough for Soprano I, and it doesn't mean you can't hit the notes they can. It's really of no relevance at all. Anyway... I got off track. Heh heh. I'll shut up now. :D

I did was I was a teen, a small choir of about 10 or so..mostly girls. I couldnt sing a lick but they kept me! lol

Yes, I do but it is my last year of high school. Since I won't be persuing music, I will be starting college next year. But, I really enjoyed singing in the choir.

i used to sing in the school choir but i quit coz all they sing about is god and in a really high pitch, too! im more of an alto or middle singer. deffinately not a siprano! lol

Yes, I do and have for years. We just finished our Easter presentation and now we will look forward to learning new music for the 4th of July then the fall special and then Christmas and then all over again. It is great in choir life singing with my sisters and brothers and all of us doing our parts. We are 24 in number but told we sound like 50. Also I sing in a trio and solo work. I love to sing but when I am in the choir with the others, I love it the best. Karen Ann
