What brand of bike is a good bike for exercising (for beginners)? I'm not talking about exercise bikes, but bikes that you ride around.

how much of a beginner? like, training wheels beginner? will you be riding primarily on roads or on dirt paths? do you want to mountain bike? if you want a bike that can go onroad and offroad, i'd recommend something like a giant sedona dx. that's what i have - it's good quality, i've not had any problems with it, and it's fine for getting around town and when i go to slightly bumpier areas. there's nothing particularly beginner or expert about it though, but like all bikes it requires a tiny bit of maintenance. also, i'd recommend you get a bike from a used bike store. it will be significantly cheaper, so if you don't like it, it's not a huge loss.
