I don't think that you're living in a country where thieves would cut off your fingers for your rings.. Besides, who would be able to tell a $2,500 handbag from the counterfeit knock-offs they sell in the alleys downtown?

Sure, if you have the money and can pay cash for it up front and are living debt-free. Actually, you could slap a designer label on ANY handbag and it would have the same effect of impressing people, because it's not as if the styles are universally recognized.
