If you are receiving two emails, you either have two addresses set up and are receiving to both or you are looking at the sent message (the one with the check mark). You can hide your sent messages by going the Messages icon, then go into the Menu and choose Options, then General Settings and change the setting to Hide Sent Messages. I hope this helps. Thanks.
