Of course not! If it was then the expression would read "Don't fuck in the bedroom." No no dear - in the expression, 'shitting' refers to a few things: Being an asshole, being gross, and generally just plain fucking up. 'Where you eat' refers to a few things as well: Your home, at work, and any other place you spend the majority of your time. At least that's how I see it :)

I think it is meant more in the sense of: "Don't bite the hand that feeds you".

It means don't *F* where you work. Working provides food, that is where the metaphor came from.
