    From what I've heard it has been a misquote: During Bulls game sideline reporter and small person MARK JONES called Gilbert "ZERO" in fact said "From ZERO TO HERO" Then by using the number 0 on his jersey, and the bill of getting no time on the court-as a prediction-helped aid in the coming of the nickname. Don't quote me on this! I asked my cousin the same thing and this is the answer he gave me....Sorry I couldn't help more Joel.
