  • Why? She's a kid. My youngest daughter acted like this until she was 13 or so. Never medicated her, or sought medical advice for it. She is now 20, and doing fine.
  • Not sure how old she is, but I raised two sons and now have a 3 yr old granddaughter who is a total chow hound lol. She wants to eat all the time too. So her Mom now, instead of snacks gives her fruit, veggies, crackers and juice. Children grow fast and they need food, however some do get hooked on "snacking." Just try to reduce any other snacks between meals, to healthy ones.
  • Children are blessed with an incredibly fast metabolism. As long as she's eating well balanced meals, isn't overweight, and isn't plagued by excessive thirst or mood swings, you can safely assume she's eating because she's hungry and her body needs the energy to grow. My 10 year old eats constantly and is only 62 pounds (I sigh while looking at my thighs). She's really healthy and eats tons of fruits and veggies, so I just keep heading to the store!
  • She's 4 years old and yes I am feeding her healthy food, but I guess you are right, I just need to keep heading to the store and get off my bum and get her fed, ya know.
  • It has to do with a child's metabolism. if they are active, the food intake will never stop.
  • I used to eat a lot play a lot and I loved playing in comforters on beds more than anything. If your daughter is like that she burns energy quickly and therefore needs more food to fuel herself.
