Why do some people hold on so tightly to the whole Global Warming thing, like the WANT it to have been true, like they NEED it to feel like they are a part of something?

I have heard a few people on Answerbag claim that all your country's News media publish and broadcast biased content because of the political leanings of their owners - in other words propaganda, rather than News. Consequently it seems likely that your views are based on only that part of the information that has been made available to you. There is nothing so perfectly designed to let international watermelons (they're green on the outside, but red on the inside) grab totalitarian control of the world's economy and poiltical systems as the belief in MMCCC (man-made catastrophic climate change). Furthermore, every constituency that communists have ever claimed to represent has rejected them. So now they claim to speak for plants and animals, which cannot speak.

I personally think it's important to hold on to what's true. You question is flawed because there really isn't much of a real debate over whether or not global warming is happening. The debate is over the cause. It is happening. It has happened in the past, it is happening now and it will happen again.

They probably feel the same need as you! The need to be right. I don't see what the big deal is!! Everyone should be doing what they can to preserve the earth, whether they believe in global warming or not. What is so bad about being responsible?
