  • It's just a meaningless passing fad born of a heightened sense of racial confusion. I once heard a book shop desk guy tell a patron he could find a biography of Nelson Mandela in the African American section. Wow that was stupid! Now I have a friend who was born in Rhodesia but left in 1981(to keep from being executed for serving his country in the Armed Forces) He is now an American citizen, a white man who is literally the ONLY African American I have ever met.
