Young or old, any of us could get or die from hundreds of different things at any given time, but than the chances are - not.

You are going to die. Take reasonable steps to delay that happening. Get checkups at regular (but not excessive) intervals. Far more important, live a healthy lifestyle. Learn what is healthy in diet and exercise. But worry too much about it, obsess over every ache and pain, take every medicine they advertise on TV, and you will set up your early demise as a self fulfilling prophecy.

MY life: I am 37 and have 7 physical diagnosis. 6 months ago I had to have people start coming in to assist with my bath, clean house, cook, shop. As of today, i have to use a walker to get around. I used to be really healthy but things happen. You can't sit around and worry about what might or might not happen. Live your life now so you don't have any regrets. I expect to need FT nursing home care in 10 years at 48 but I refuse to sit around and fret over it. Young people get cancer and diabetes and they even have heart attacks BUT some people get into their 50s and never have anything go wrong. Just live healthy, eat healthy, enjoy life and don't stress. Get yourself an annual physical if only to allay your fears.

You should see a doctor just to rule out anything if you feel there is a need to question your health. Youth is not a guarantee of good health. And it will ease your mind if you receive a good check-up. You are never too young to start taking care of yourself, and by having a regular checkup, you have a baseline to work with if something should change with your health. Hope you are boring and absolutely unmemorable when you go into that Dr's office!! =)
