  • When something is made illegal it's for the well being of entire human society. Finally if a person chooses for back street abortion then the person is herself responsible for her own fate. She should have thought of it before taking any precautions.
  • First, they aren't "pro-life," they're anti-choice. I am both anti-abortion and pro-choice. I think abortion is a selfish, short-sighted decision, but I will (and do) fight for anyone's right to make that wrong decision for themselves. So long as the foetus remains part of the mother's body, it is her choice what to do with it. I support abortion right up until the moment the umbilical cord is cut, and so should anyone who believes in liberty. It therefore becomes obvious why the anti-choice people want to ban abortions. They hate the idea of liberty. They an irrational fear of other human beings and believe that the only way to protect themselves is to force other people to do their bidding. They are evil, oppressive, and authoritarian. They wish to force everyone else to abide by their faith in the mistaken belief it will protect them from harm. It really has very little to do with the actual reality of abortion, which is why they are totally uninterested in discussing the facts. Their sole desire is to manipulate people through fear or force to adopt their set of beliefs.
  • They have forgotten that the one thing humans have that seperates us from God's other creations is "Free Will" and their short-sided thinking can't get them past one issue. When in all actuality that same short-sided, judgemental thinking is what causes women to even consider an abortion.
  • Taking responsibility for our actions would be a huge step in preventing unwanted pregnancies. Since we understand that having sex could lead to pregnancy, maybe we should only be intimate with someone we would want to share our lives with. There is also birth control...currently, we have many different methods that are over 99% effective. There was more of an argument about the "back-alley" abortions before adequate birth control was invented. That was back in the days when the only known method was the rhythm method. We don't have that excuse today. I never believe abortion is an option, that is my personal opinion...I am only addressing the main reason why women abort their babies...as a late form of birth control for behaving irresponsibly. Personally, I feel that abortion is murder and I am not basing my opinion on my religious views. I feel that the legalization of slaughtering an innocent baby put a dirty stain on us all. It is a societal wrong. Look at this pic below...this a fetus at 10-weeks. Doesn't he look very human? He does to me! Happy Holidays, Indigo...great question!
