Begin with your hypothesis, what your experiment is trying to prove, and what you think will happen. Your factors, your tests, your results,and your conclusion.

Write what you have as best you can so that you do have a product. Take it to your professor or teacher and ask if there are time constraints that they need the paper now, or can you take a few days to finish the experiment. I'd say that since the semester is coming to a close, they need to turn their grades in. However, they may be able to give you an incomplete and change the grade later. Or they may be able to give you a grade based on the work you have done. The main thing is, don't show up with no paper. Most professors will cut someone slack if they can see that the student made a good faith effort. But if you show up with nothing, then they have no grounds to do anything but fail you.
