Firstly I'm not sure if I would be a good ruler. I'd probably end up being a despotic dictator, mostly because I have an allergic reaction to politicians - I get really angry when I hear the lies they spout. I have to disband my government because of this, and lay out my vision for the country. I'd also need people who were like-minded to carry out my vision, and they are difficult to find. Now, I live in UK, and I feel that we are a nation that is sinking faster than we will admit. I am willing to take over the rule of this country. I have a vision that does not always sit well with European legislation or, in fact, with many Brits. I feel education is a paramount pillar, but must be secular, so I would outlaw religious schools and force children to be taught in English. A second language (with greater choice) would be taught from an earlier age. The emphasis has to be on the basics, so reading, writing, and arithmetic would be central requirements before acceptance to secondary education. The UK economy suffers from not knowing which direction we are headed - into or out of Europe. I think Europe is good for business, so would scrap the pound and go Euro. Health is also important, so I would strip out the layers of bureaucracy in the NHS and use the money to improve first response care. People with ailments would get a fuller diagnosis, with blood tests and health checks, rather than just being given some pills and sent on their way. This would, along with hygeine education, create a more well society. I'm not much of an art lover, so Tate Modern and other chosen art galleries would be converted into prisons to house criminals, and I would introduce a tougher system of morality in jails. Prisoners need to give back to the communities they have wronged, so I would use US-style work gangs. I also don't believe in stealth tax, so all tax would be in the form of Income Tax, probably at about 50%, with items being much cheaper to buy. This would stimulate our industry and gain many extra tourists. It would also encourage companies to move to this country for production. Long-term unemployed would also be measured against much more stringent benchmarks and those who simply don't want to work would receive no state help at all. I reckon that entitles me to be called a despot or tyrant, but I'd bloody well drag my beloved country back from the brink of despair it is currently teetering on. History would judge me, perhaps harshly, but I would do what I must to save our country rather than smile ingratiatingly while brown-nosing another premier. So, to answer your question, I would choose to rule UK.

China would definatly be my country, because they have ariligon that most of them believe explioting that and using the will of the gods to gather supporters. Next I would use my influnce to make whatever changes I want and make lazy Americans make thier own stuff so we would stop poluting our country. We would offer to sell oue designs to America but stop producing it for them. If Ameica didn't like it we have Japanese who are also doing the same thing plus the war in Iraq is pointlessly weakening there forces. If there was no war in Iraq I would still try to piss them off but at a reasonable scale. They are a strong country and I don't want to bring out the nukes.

Monaco. It is very small, very rich, has nice views, good looking people everywhere you go, nice beaches... and the ruler is a Prince! Almost like a fairy tale!

If I took the USA, I'd whip it into shape - I'd either be assassinated or empeacehd before I could do that however, so something different. Maybe a country that already has a dictator though, so all things would run much more smoothly... China maybe, that seems easiest - North Korea just scares me... so yeah, why not China, I could do alot with it.
