  • We'll see soon. On the fifth of January, he had a 37% approval rating. As soon as Gallup does another, we'll know the effect of the speech. Personally, I don't think it will go up or down more than 2% maximum. The people who like him will keep on supporting him, people like me will continue to dislike him. A surge of troops isn't shocking to me... the AEI called for it. I find it amazing that as of 2001, Clinton's approval rating was almost twice that of Bush's current one. It gives me some faith in America.
  • I can't imagine very much. None of his speeches, especially ones regarding the US involvement in the Iraq war, have had much effect in the last year or so.
  • No... and if it does, I think it will just go down. We didn't want a surge of soldiers, but what did he do? He created a sur... oh, he 'increased' the amount of troops, pardon me. It's totaly different. And just 3 seconds ago, he said something about young americans approving the war. I hope his approval went down for that alone.
  • There will be a temporary uptick, but it will return to the present level soon thereafter.
  • I think his approval rating most likely will drop even more.
  • If it doesn't drop more, I think it will remain about the same. He has a loyal following of sheep who think he can do no wrong - they will approve of him no matter what he does or says, and I think they will help him maintain a 30% plus approval rating.
  • I don't think it will move an inch. If it does it will go down, recent polls suggest 70% of the nation opposes sending more troops to Iraq.
  • I dont know, but I already approve of him 100% so it doesnt matter to me.
