I don't want to be on them enough to pay for them. Whether people 'should' have to pay is totally up to the business running the web site. If they charge a fee, that's totally fine but I won't be paying it. Some web sites let people pay a fee in order to not see ads - I see that as totally fine.

I am on both, but if it came to where I had to pay I would drop them both like a bad habit.

No. These sites may be the only social activity some people have. Not everyone has friends or likes to get together with friends. Some people just like to stay home and do what we're doing. We already have to pay for internet access. I hope they don't start charging for sites like those because many people won't pay. And, there goes the only "social life" some people have. I was going to say that that's sad, but we're all different with regards to what we like to do, and who am I to criticize?

no. there's nothing that good on myspace or facebook. i'm surprised those sites are still around.
