  • I think you can have a crisis whenever you want it. Since the so-called mid-life crisis can "strike" any time from the mid-thirties to the late fifties and still me "mid-life", it is not really a precise thing. The mid-life crisis is really just a label for when you realise that your life has settled into it's main form (sometimes without you realising it) and you are not sure you like what it has settled into.
  • I think at the quarter-life moment, we wonder what we want to do, who we want to settle down with, and where to go. These decisions are not only a ton of pressure but also establish where you are for the rest of your life. This is momentous. Especially since a mid-life crisis involves a career, spouse, children, and mortgage. At quarter-life, you have to figure out once and for all who you are, and make it happen. It is exciting and scary. And I think it should be the most poetic of all crises.
  • Not that I know of...But there is such thing as high levels of stress getting the best of you.
  • I think there is. It comes at a moment when you are at a true crossroads in your life: Your mid twenties. Your college/party years are officially over and reality and true adulthood lurks ominously on the horizon. The fear of "growing up" can make you do stupid, stupid, stupid things........and I speak from experience!
  • I would imagine that you can have a crisis situation at any time in life. Each one of those might bring you to where you really need or want to be
  • It's just as real as a mid-life crisis. According to Erik Erikson, people go through 8 crises throughout their lives. It's generally a transition period from one stage to the next. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarter-life_crisis
