Yes, it is. No, it is not a narcotic. Ultram tablets contain 50 mg of tramadol hydrochloride and are white in color. Inactive ingredients in the tablet are corn starch, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide and wax. It can be habit forming if overused or used improperly-like any pharmeceutical. Using it only as your doctor has prescribed will do your pain well. It is a good pain reliever for mild to moderate pain. Hope this helps.

Ultram is not a naricotic and just as onzanzabarsands said " for mild to moderate pain" I wish it would help with me pain but instead I have to take AVINZA which is a slow release morphine and I have to take 60 mg a day just to function Good Luck to you.

Yes, the pill you are describing is a generic form of Ultram 50 mg. It is not a narcotic, but in my opinion and many, many others it should be classified as one. I do not care what anyone says; I personally know Tramadol is a very addictive drug even when it is used as prescribed. I was given this medication for a very legitimate reason and I only took it the way my doctor prescribed it to me....I never abused it. After being on "it" for a few months I decided to stop using "it", because I was trying to get pregnant. Within 24 hours of not having the Tramadol in my system I became very, very sick. It took me over 2 weeks to get over the withdrawal affects and it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through. Do some research on the internet (prescription drug forums or websites) before you decide to take this medication and you will see how many people went through the same thing I did. I was later told by another doctor that the withdrawal side effects from Tramadol are worse than going through withdraw from any Opiates (Vicodin ect.) The scary thing is, is that most doctors will tell you it is not addictive and will hand it out like candy.
