  • I really want to visit NYC also. No, I dont tnink you should be a pessimist.I know what I want to see when I visit the big apple.I just want to see all the sights go on the subways, see the stature of liberty,go to broadway and see a show and just have fun.Go for it Blackberry!!
  • There are many problems with visiting NYC. First off its freaking huge. I for one recommend that if your going to see its fast paced life, see shows, and go to clubs/bars don't waste your time unless you have a friend there that can show you around. If your there to see the sights I would make your stay at least two weeks because there are way to many things to see and you'll still not get all of them in. Public transportation is nice but its still slow. Personally for a person who didn't live in NYC I think its really dirty but I have never left it un amazed. My wife was also born and raised there so it helps.
  • do your research, look up what to see and what to avoid. get a package vacation deal from a travel agent, where a broadway show is included in the price of your visit. definitely see central park, definitely visit the statue of liberty, broadway, wall st financial district, grand central station, empire state building...the usuals. and hit the many outstanding musuems
  • I flew out there wife my wife and proposed to her at the top of the Empire State Building. Was it worth the money it cost? In my opinion, and hers, and trying to ignore the engagement as much as possible, YES. Would I go back? No. The reason is that I am the sort of person that likes to explore new areas, not revisit old ones. I have been to NYC, time to move on. Would I recommend it to someone else? Already have! Two friends have visited there independently upon my recommendation and my little brother is going there this February.
