Help answer this question below.
No.
I use the back of the pages too so half the time the spiral is on the "wrong" side for me too. Then again, I tend to place my hand directly below where I write so I avoid the spiral regardless of which side it is on at the moment.
*facepalm*
Just. Turn. It. The. Other. Bloody. Way.
No.
I don't think they were designed FOR right handed people. I beleive it is more likely that they were designed BY right handed people who simply gave no thought to those left handed individuals in our society.
indeed. I would have to agree with that question. I myself have never had that problem, as I am ambdextrous. Lucky me!!
You have to sacrifice a single first page for the majority, but otherwise, no.
It seems pretty clear to me they were.

You're reading Do you think Sprial notebooks were only designed for right handed people? Because left handed people would have their arm uncomfortably on the sprial part.

Good point.

Greetings Jerv,
.
You might enjoy upgrading to a non-spiral bound notebook. Many people are happy with this company: http://www.moleskineus.com/ If you do use spiral bound then you can solve the spiral problem by writing only on the fronts of the pages and then flipping the notebook over and writing "upside down" on the backs. Consider the back of page 80 as page 81 and the back of page 1 as page 160 in an 80 page spiral bound notebook.

I like the moleskine books - they're pricey for a notepad, but worth it. Lovely paper, sturdy construction, and they just look goddamned awesome.

I would actually like to upgrade to something else if I could find something better. I really don't like the moleskine marketing which I find deceptive. The problem is I don't know where to obtain a better product. Any ideas?

I want one this size with this style cover:

.
However, I want the pages indestructible and water-proof out of some tyvek like material. I also want a small grid pattern on the pages if possible. One might not be manufactured anywhere.
