If a guy tells you he hates you, what does he really mean? Is this his way of saying that he really does love you but doesn't want to say it?

He either hates you, and is fed up. Or he's angry about something and being whiny about it. Either way, he hates you, at least for now. If he tells you that he hates you, and doesn't really, maybe he's just trying to mess with your emotions. Those kind of people should be avoided.

No, it means he hates you. Only women say the opposite of what they mean. When guys say something, believe it or not, that's actually what we mean. I know, it's quite the phenomenon.

well to me when my ex-husband tells me that he hates me it means that he is pissed that he isn't getting his way again and I am the one that he blames for everything that goes wrong in his life!!!

There is an age when a boy says I hate you and it means I love you, there is also an age when a boy says I hate you and he really hates you. Its somewhere around the Early Teen years.
