  • Yes. There's a technology called SLI (see link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Link_Interface) which can allow two such cards to run in tandem for increased graphics performance. Also if you happen to have a graphics card already included as part of the motherboard you can install an additional one and either use them both independently or disable the on-board one and use the separate video card.

  • You can also use two or more offboard video-cards without SLI, so as to increase the number of output ports if you want to use a lot of monitors. Another possibility to use various monitors, is to use Matrox TripleHead2Go accessory which allows you to split one output to three. http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/
