So can drugs and alcohol for the short term. Then what? :)

There is only one way to find out how true that is ... Lets give it a try =D

It has been shown that sex is very healthy and releaves many problems because of the endorfans relased during sex. This site has many articals if you care to look for them on the healthy aspects of sex; http://www.ejhs.org/index.htm

you can also release the same endorphins by exercising and you don't need a partner to do so and there is no emotional baggage, and you will get in shape and have more self esteem....
-
OR....But this will pass. Nothing wrong with having sex! But again this pleasure will pass! Sadness, grief, pain, feeling lonely all have to be faced. Take a deep breath...and keep on going, and thank God for the friends, the laughs, the hugs along the way!
-
....Yes, the article is absolutely right !! ....Well, what did you expect me to say ?!? ....Geez, there goes that motor again. :-))

I humbly express my disagreement with whosoever wrote those sentences. Sex in any circumstance other than a warm pleasant mood will end up hurting the partner in sex which will leave that person sad and grieving. Logical clear thinking and understanding of the situation are the perfect antidotes.

It's good Antidote!I agree!!

Sex is a very good way to overcome painful losses. It not only feels good but also releases chemicals into your brain that will help you to overcome the pain and heal quicker. Humans have lived through and evolved with trauma and we can adapt to almost any situation under the right circumstances. It is adaptive and keeps us from dwelling in the past.

I'd be interested in making an experiment of it.

Ir depends. If it used a cure to a bad relationship it is just a bandaid. If it is used an endorphine lift it can be great.

hi, rose, babieeeeeeeeeeeeee ... 100% percent antidote ... heaven on earth! ... LoLz ... ^_^
-
I tried that route but it did not work for me. Until I went through all the steps of grieving the sex was not a winner. When all my denial and anger was gone sex was back to normal and very natural. Hope this helps!
-
I think the chemicals that get released before during and after sex can be quite healing. Or at the very least make you forget your pain for a little while so you can focuus on other things.

If I am sad, I have sex. If I am hurt, I have sex. If I am bored, I have sex. If I am breathing...I have sex.
