On my laptop I cant use my moms wireless connection it says it requires a network key (WEP) To accessthe network? how do i know what the key is?

You need to ask whoever set up the wireless network in your house what the password key is. This is a security feature to keep other off of your wireless network.

Drublic is correct. Your mothers router has been secured with a WEP key. This key is usually over 25 characters in length. You should have your mom (or the person that set it up) login to the router to take a look at the wireless settings. The WEP key will be there. You can then type this key into your laptop's connection setting. Once you do that the laptop will do the rest. Your connection will be established.
