  • I beleive God is the only God there is...look in cronicles 10:33 and learn that he announces that he jesus christ is God..read more and your question will surely be answered through the holy bible or God himself..
  • There is only one God. Although it appears that He has shown Himself at least a couple of times in human history [Buddhism, Hinduism.] He is 'not real' only to those who will not see Him. And there are many spiritual beings who have masqueraded as Him over time. Most recently in Hawaii, as those pork-eating 'gods'.
  • Only one and true God and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent
  • As there is a complete lack of empirical evidence for the existence of any deities, there is no reason to assume that god exists.
  • I'm not sure what is the truth but I'm sure I will find out the truth someday...maybe when I pass away but until then, it is not important to me which God(s) I choose to worship or believe in as long as I am giving other people love and doing things for other people, whether I agree with what people do to themselves or how they choose to live, with love and care. Depending on who I speak with or what religion I learn about, it can drive me insane by trying to know what is real or what is true. So I follow my own heart. But generally, I do believe there is a God...maybe even a few...
  • I believe that all of the Gods are the creations of Man. We created explanations for that which we did not understand. That is the foundation of religion. Therefore science is perceived by religion as a threat, because science keeps finding actual, verifiable, real explanations that hurt religions ability to disseminate their false beliefs as some type of truth.
  • Yes, I do. I was raised in an atheist home. All of my grandparents and step-grandparents were believers, so I was exposed to Christianity, but my mother and father/stepfathers had rejected Christ or were too busy for Him. My mother came to faith later in life. I toyed with the idea, but didn't really believe until I started working on a Biology degree (which I didn't finish). Studying higher math and DNA at the same time was enough to convince me that there was no statistical way for something as complex and ordered as DNA to happen on its own, no matter how much time you gave it. DNA is basically written instructions for protiens in which three pairs of chemicals are a letter. It is wonderfully elegant and complex. And to believe that it could just happen out of nothing is like believing that if you pour out a can of alphabet soup enough times you'll get Romeo and Juliet with no mistakes. I have since read Lee Strobel's Case for the Creator, in which he interviews physicists who came to similar conclusions about physics and biologists who independently came to the same conclusion I did. Once I became convinced that there is a God, the only question was what is His nature? That is to say, which religion knows God. I admit that Christianity is what was familiar to me. But when I look at creation, apart from the behavior of humans, what I see is a kind and benevolent and beautiful creation. Yes, it has its cruel bits, in that some animals are carnivours. But is has love even in the uncivilized animal world. Animal mothers are kind and loving, when cold and efficient would be just a biologically effective. You can care for an infant without cuddling, kissing, playing, nuzzling etc. You can coldly feed and guard. The world is beautiful, when ugly wouldn't make a bit of difference. A lack of ability to revel in and appreciate is beauty wouldn't make a difference in our biological viability either. The creator could have made it flat, uniform temperature and color....something like a fifties mental hospital. It gets the job done but there is nothing to recommend it. There is evidence that God appreciates diversity and has a sense of humor as well. I mean, this is a world that included the duck-billed platypus. It looks like it was made by committee and it gives me a laugh everytime I think of it. There is very little in this world that exists in just one type. Humans come in every shape and color, as do most creatures. So in the end, I have to conclude that God is a God that loves beauty, loves love, loves His creation. Yes, creation is contaminated. It isn't the way He intended it to be. But He still loves it. And when I try to consider which religion's god is the best fit for what I see in the world around me, the image of God as a loving daddy who wants to be part of our lives best fits with what I see, when humans aren't destroying it. Those are the cold facts that led me to begin to commit, but when you commit it is very much like marriage. There is a lot to marriage that you can't know until you commit to it and try it out. A relationship with Christ is the same way. Until you first tentatively reach out to Him, you can't see Him. But as soon as you do reach out to Him, he begins to reveal Himself to you. Each person experiences Him in a way that is clearly tailored to the needs of that person, but you will begin to be aware that He is there in little ways that become clearer over time until He is as real to you as the person sitting next to you and you are bewildered as to why everyone can't see Him. This isn't an illusion and it isn't pathology. This isn't Harvey the six foot rabbit. It is just that you can't see Him until you look for Him, sort of like those paintings with the camoflaged horses and Native Americans in them. You can look and look, but you don't see them until you know what you are looking for and you start looking for that specific image.
