Does anyone know of a CD player Brand that won't waste batteries or die quickly? Mine is just insane.

You could look for some NiMH or Li ion high-capacity rechargeable batteries and try those out, some of these can last a lot longer than regular alkaline batteries.

The CD player is a battery hog no matter how you look at it, the energy is being used by spinning the disk which there is no way to get around, My opinion would be investing in an mp3 player. something cheap
