How is it it gets dark much earlier in the winter than it does in the summer, whereas library-closing time is the same all the year round (except for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve)?

Darkness comes earlier after the sun passes the equator. It's due to the relative position of earth and sun. But after days of through research, I can't find any reference to library hours' influencing the sun. Are you OK? Does your mother know you're on the computer?

Maybe daylight savings time is messing you up... Personally, I hate it.
