  • Congratulations...you should be proud of yourself. Time family and friends are your best bet right now. Thank you for giving my hope though. My father is a heroin addict and i worry about him constantly. He got his sister hooked as well. It is a horrible thing that it does to a person. I have seen him change before my eyes. You are doing a very hard thing right now but very needed and you should be comended. I wish you all the luck and if you ever need some one to talk to I can listen
  • It is the mind that feels sad for the loss of something bad.. Make your mind happy with experiences other than opiates. The sadness will go and you will have that happy feeling.
  • Can you afford or do you have insurance coverage for rehab? I was addicted to opiates and have been in recovery for over 3 years. I was in intensive outpatient therapy initially for 4 months and have been following a continuing care program since then. I have learned how to not hold in my frustrations but to deal with the trials and tribulations of life. In recovery I learned about the "tools" to use so I no longer need opiates to numb my feelings. I have learned to accept what life deals out to me. Start by calling a mental health organization in your community. Tell them what you are going through and what you need and let them give you referrals to rehab or recovery programs in your area. I've dealt with the emptiness that you are experiencing, and through recovery I am able to recognize my denial and what got me to the point I was at. Talk, don't hold things in. Let people help you. God Bless You.
  • Thank you all for your answers but for the one on Dextromphetamine, I cant add another stimulant to my problemb otherwise believe me a drink would be great right now but i'd just be adding to the problemb.
