What does an IQ test score mean? As a child, I took an IQ test and gained a "162". Firstly, what does this score mean, and secondly, what does it reflect and what sort of indication does it give me? If it is useless and means nothing, was there any point?

Within the cultural limits of the test, it meant that when you took it your "intellectual age" was 1.62 times your "physical age". Lots of arguments over what it's really worth, but suggests that at the time you took it you were either pretty smart or good at taking tests.

Really, IQ test don't have much meaning and they are just a way to make you look really smart when your probably just good at taking tests. Though to get a score like that you have to be fairly smart so I'm not doubting that :D

Mostly, it tells you how well you can do in school. Has nothing to do with what kind of person you are.
